Elder Hubert B. Geter III &
Elect Lady Chauna Geter 

Elder Hubert and Lady Chauna Geter currently serve as the Senior Pastor and Elect Lady of United Remnant Fellowship located in Berwyn Heights, Maryland. They both got their start and foundation at the Way of the Cross Church of Christ where they were baptized in the Name Lord Jesus and filled with the the Holy Ghost at a youth revival in the spring of 1998.

 

In September of that same year Elder Geter was given a vision concerning the woman that he would mary. Although, Elder Geter dismissed the occurrence as nothing to be taken seriously he realized that it wasn’t just a vision but it was God speaking directly to him. After that, sister Chauna Brooks randomly came to speak with him a couple days later and he realized it was no coincidence but rather something that God had ordained.  What started out as a platonic friendship quickly blossomed into a loving courtship.

 

In April of 1999 a guest speaker gave both Elder & Lady Geter prophecies that would be paramount to the beginning of their ministries. Months later the prophecy concerning Lady Geter being anointed to sing was fulfilled and thus launched the birth of her singing ministry. Together they would do evangelistic work in places such as college campuses, various communities, their work places and wherever the opportunity would present itself. Fast forward to May of 2002 Elder and Lady Geter got engaged and on June 21, 2003 they were wed in holy matrimony. 

 

Shortly thereafter in August of 2003 Elder Geter accepted the call on his life into the ministry and served at Greater Refuge Temple under the leadership of Bishop William Michael and Lady Melissa Fields where they continued to serve together. The Geters were youth leaders, choir members, auxiliary heads and altar workers to name a few.

 

In addition to that, they also served as foster parents to 54 abused and neglected young men of which thirty of them were baptized in Jesus Name and many filled with the Holy Ghost. For over twenty years the Geters have faithfully strove together to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to bring a message of repentance, love and hope to a lost and generation.
